New session announced: Quality Measure Reporting Updates for ASCs

The 2023 OR Manager Conference this week announced a new luncheon, “Quality Measure Reporting Updates for ASCs,” to be presented Monday, September 18, at 12:10 pm.

The session led by Gina Throneberry, MBA, RN, CASC, CNOR, director of education and clinical affairs for the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association, will discuss the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Measure Reporting Program for ASCs. Attendees will learn what quality reporting measures are required and get key definitions and answers to frequently asked questions.

Outcomes of the session include:

  • define the quality reporting that is required by CMS for ASCs
  • identify the different look-up tools available for participants to utilize
  • discuss possible future program measures and topics for consideration

In her role, Throneberry enhances educational opportunities for ASCA members, and works with federal agencies in regards to clinical, regulatory, and quality issues/concerns among the ASC industry. She is currently a board member of the Tennessee Ambulatory Surgery Center Association, and a surveyor with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare.
