Ambulatory surgery center (ASC) administrators and managers have ample opportunity to prepare for evolving patient care models during the 2019 OR Manager Conference.
On Tuesday, September 17, Beverly Kirchner, BSN, RN, CNOR, CASC, chief compliance officer for SurgeryDirect, LLC, leads a preconference workshop, “Volume versus Value: ASCs Transition to Value-Based Care.” Among other things, she will help managers prepare for the bundled payment models expected to be adopted at ASCs in the near future.
In multiple breakout sessions, other prominent ASC leaders will address topics such as preadmission and patient selection, competency assessment, and emergency preparedness. In addition, Gina Throneberry, MBA, RN, CASC, CNOR, will share the latest updates on 2020 regulations and quality measure reporting criteria. Throneberry is director of education and clinical affairs for the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association.
