PACU Manager Summit hits stride in year 3

The PACU Manager Summit, now in its third year, is a 3-day program held in conjunction with the OR Manager Conference. The program takes a comprehensive look at postoperative recovery, starting with a workshop on Wednesday, September 18, when clinicians from Vanderbilt University Medical Center will share their journey in improving the patient experience.

How to increase patient satisfaction and improve outcomes will be addressed in breakout sessions on Enhanced Recovery After Surgery, patient throughput, and managing anxiety. Patient safety will be discussed in sessions on malignant hyperthermia and electroconvulsive therapy.

In recognition of the critical role played by PACU managers, an award will be presented during a luncheon on Thursday, September 19, to the PACU Manager of the Year.
