The Texas Board of Nursing has charged 23 nurses with “fraudulently obtaining educational credentials” as part of a national scheme involving thousands of fraudulent nursing degrees, the February 20 Becker’s Hospital Review reports.
The nursing students paid thousands of dollars to the individuals running the scheme and are now worried about their careers.
One student notes that they had classes and clinicals that seemed normal, and another student, who took one of the fraudulent NCLEX Review classes, says she wasted 2 years of her life.
Four people in Texas have been charged with leading the scheme.
