Three days of education and networking await perioperative leaders attending this week’s OR Manager Conference, which runs through Thursday, October 30, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
By the time Dan Weberg, PhD, MHI, RN, FAAN, takes the stage Tuesday morning with his opening keynote, "Healthcare’s ‘Blockbuster Moment’: Innovation, Disruption and the Future of Nursing," many attendees will already have tackled the Reverse Expo and pre-conference workshops. Today, back by popular demand, John Rosing, MHA, FACHE, is leading the "Mastering The Joint Commission standards and CMS regulations" workshop, while Nicholas Rizzo, MS-HSA, RN, CNOR, assistant director of nursing, operating room, and Ivelisse Vicente, MS, RN, NEA-BC, CNOR, RNFA, assistant director of nursing for ambulatory services, University of Rochester-Strong Memorial Hospital, are presenting "The leadership shift: From managing tasks to leading with influence."
