Editor's Note
The formerly titled OR Business Management Conference has rebranded as the OR Business Management Summit, reflecting a strategic shift toward more tailored, immersive support for perioperative business leaders, an OR Manager June 10 press release reports. The newly renamed Summit emphasizes curated content, targeted networking, and facility-specific learning experiences—hallmarks that distinguish it from large-scale expos. The next event will take place February 9–11, 2026, at the Hilton Austin in Austin, Texas.
As detailed in the announcement, this rebrand goes beyond terminology. It reflects the increasing need for meaningful dialogue and solutions as OR leaders navigate rising financial, staffing, and operational challenges. The Summit is designed to encourage more in-depth conversations and networking that do not happen at large expos, offering attendees more direct access to actionable insights through interactive formats and real-world collaboration.
Several new features will debut in 2026. Most notably, the event will use a summit-style format to facilitate peer-to-peer engagement, including leadership forums, case study panels, and interactive workshops. Another key change is custom content based on facility size. For the first time, the agenda will include sessions designed specifically for organizations of varying scope—from small outpatient centers to large hospital systems—ensuring content relevance regardless of the attendee’s operational scale or budget constraints.
Registration for the 2026 OR Business Management Summit will open in the coming weeks, with a full program announcement expected in July. Updates and participation details are available at www.ORBusinessManagementSummit.com.
