The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on March 8 released interim recommendations saying that people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can safely gather with fully vaccinated people from other households without wearing masks or physical distancing.
They also can visit indoors with unvaccinated people from a single household without wearing masks or physical distancing if those people are at low risk for severe COVID-19 disease.
In addition, fully vaccinated people no longer have to be tested or quarantined after a known exposure, if they are asymptomatic.
However, the CDC says, those who are fully vaccinated should continue following mitigation measures when in public.
At this time, the CDC is not updating its travel recommendations and requirements.
