Back by popular demand: Cy Wakeman kicks off OR Manager Conference

After a riveting opening keynote in 2017, Cy Wakeman returned to open the 2018 OR Manager Conference on Monday, September 17, at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee, with compelling messages for the audience. Wakeman, president and founder of Reality-Based Leadership, is the author of: No Ego: How Leaders Can Cut the Cost of Workplace Drama, End Entitlement, and Drive Big Results; Reality-Based Leadership; and The Reality-Based Rules of the Workplace.

Using a number of anecdotes laced with humor, she delivered a compelling and important message: How to change attitudes from entitlement to accountability. She urged everyone to learn how to be more conversational rather than confrontational. “The five new ways of thinking and leading will diffuse the drama and help people be not only more successful at work but also happier at work,” she said.
