In the annual Physician Practice Preference & Relocation Survey from The Medicus Firm, nearly 3 in 10 physicians say concerns about appropriate compensation is the primary reason they would consider a career change, the July 5 FierceHealthcare reports.
More than 17% of respondents say they will “likely” or “definitely” look to make a career change in the next year.
Based on the results, quality compensation packages and reasonable scheduling demands could be the key to physician retention, the authors say.
