Editor's Note
During Wednesday’s luncheon at the OR Manager Conference, Ann Marie Pettis, BSN, RN, CIC, director of infection prevention at University of Rochester Medical Center, will share best practices in surgical site infection (SSI) prevention for perioperative leaders.
Pettis believes SSIs are a true burden in US healthcare, and although multiple factors contribute to their development, no single intervention is enough to prevent them. Advantages and disadvantages of “no touch” disinfection methods to audit the effectiveness of cleaning, such as adenosine triphosphate and fluorescent marking, will be explored.
Participants will receive 1.0 contact hours for attending this luncheon, presented by GETINGE GROUP. To attend, Value Package or Workshop Only registration for the OR Manager Conference is required.
