5 more organizations opening, expanding nursing programs

Five more organizations are launching or expanding nursing programs, the January 20 Becker’s Hospital Review reports.

  • Marian University School of Nursing, Indianapolis, and Ascension St. Vincent are partnering to address nursing shortages in Indiana.
  • University of Phoenix College of Nursing is offering a Master of Science in Nursing degree for advanced practice and clinical nurse leadership in administration, informatics, or education.
  • Elliot Hospital, Manchester, New Hampshire, and New England College, Henniker, New Hampshire, are partnering to offer an accelerated, 3-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Mount Wachusett Community College, Gardner, Massachusetts, received a $525,000 Nursing Pathways Expansion Grant from the state to incorporate the certified nursing assistant program into early college and dual enrollment pathways at local high schools.
  • St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa, is adding LPN-BSN and RN-BSN programs.

Becker’s also listed five more programs on January 4, seven on December 13, six on November 30, six on November 10, four in September, and 11 in July. Becker’s will continue to add to the list as they become available.
