Specialty Teams in the OR
There are many definitions of what OR specialty
teams really are. It may be staff who consistently
work in the same service or for the same physician
but don’t take call for that service or physician.
It may be an exclusive team that only works for that
service or physician and takes call exclusively for
that specialty. Is a team a full complement of staff
who work in the OR or just a specific few who maintain
expertise in particularly complex cases in that specialty?
Do teams receive special education, schedules, or
compensation? More importantly, by what metrics are
these teams evaluated in terms of quality, efficiency,
cost, and benefit? During this webinar, we will explore
these questions and discuss what works, what doesn’t
and how to tell if specialty teams are working or
will work for you.
This is an hour-long webinar. Fee: $149
Leaders: Christie
Dempsey, RN, MBA, CNOR, Senior Vice President
