Codes of conduct for surgery departments
Surgical services
leaders are finding that a code of conduct for surgical
services personnel can foster positive relationships among
patients, families, visitors, coworkers, the medical staff,
and other customer groups. Here are two examples of codes
of conduct adopted by outpatient surgery centers. The codes
were the subject of an article in the April 2002 OR
Manager newsletter.
